Danny Nichols Appointed As New General Manager

Colquitt EMC’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Danny Nichols has been named the new General Manager of Colquitt EMC, effective September 11, 2010.  Danny, former Manager of Engineering and Operations,assumed his new responsibilities following the retirement of Rick Gaston.

Danny has been an engineer in the electric utility industry for over 22 years.  He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia.  Danny joined Colquitt EMC in 1996 as Senior Electrical Engineer, was promoted in 1998 to Manager of Engineering, and became Manager of Engineering and Operations in 2007. Prior to employment at Colquitt EMC, he was Manager of Engineering and Construction at Irwin EMC in Ocilla, Georgia.

Danny and his wife, Emily, have been married 18 years and have two sons – Nick, 14, and Jake, 11. They are members of Trinity Baptist Church in Moultrie. Danny hopes to continue the strong tradition of prudent management.  He looks forward to meeting the needs of the membership of Colquitt EMC.
