Faucette and Walden Return from Leadership Trip
Colquitt EMC's student delegates recently returned home from a life-changing, leadership trip to Washington, D.C.. Brooks County High School Student, Garrett Faucette, and Cook High School student, Taylor Walden were among an elite group selected to attend the 2011 Washington Youth Tour.
“Hands Down—the best week of my life!” Walden exclaimed. “I got to experience the center of governmental Americana, the beating heart of passionate people, and saw what fed America to be the powerhouse it is.”
Garrett Faucette was one of four students chosen to participate in the Arlington National Cemetery wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. “That was the highlight of the trip. It was such a humbling experience,” said Faucette.
